About the artPinyon Jay, Art Reproduction Stamp collection Illustration and collage featuring a crowned pinyon jay dancing in Egyptian-esque regalia. Completed circa 2005, this piece is a tribute both to the pinyon orchards and the blue avian. This stamp is made with imagery from "Pinyon Jay" a painting made in Crestone Colorado amidst pinyon orchards and of course flocks of beautiful blue pinyon jays, laughingly calling as they fly throughout vast pine tree orchards. The figure , originally rendered in ink the figure dances amidst a nebulous background of blue silver and red. Tilting its hat forward as if preparing to zoom in on a tidbit, this figure has elements of Egyptian mythos , as the figure is anthropomorphized as if Tehuti or Heru being. Bird-headed with solar life force orb / halo. ;-)
